William's Story
On the first day of Teen Extreme 2014 camp William said he didn't want to be at camp. He was a football player and didn't know anything about art. We asked him to give it a try. He did and at the end of the week when asked if he would come to the 2nd week. He had a resounding "Yes, I'll be there, this is cool." He said he realized his skill and how much he loves it. A Life-Changing experience!

Testimony of Samantha Saglibene
Hi! My name is Samantha Saglibene and I'm writing on my behalf of my experiences here at Art Is...Creation Teen Extreme held at the Artists’ Workshop. I reside in New Smyrna Beach, and was thrilled to have found this group so close! At the beginning of summer, I was interested in finding somewhere I could connect too. Art Is...Creation and the Artists’ Workshop and all the people involved have provided even more than that.
I participated in two weeks of the imaginative and innovative artwork I have since learned here. Coming to the camp, I had experience only with sketching and watercolor painting on my own. The fresh, new, art forms I was introduced to was inspiring. I didn't think I could learn so much in only a two week time period. Every single day we were introduced to motivating artists from around the area who each performed a different artistic technique. We indulged in a vast variety of art formations going from acrylic glass creations to pottery work. Every day was a gaining of new knowledge. We were given the freedom to originate all of our own pieces. We have used an expansive amount of divergent materials as well. For example, I've now had the opportunity to create with pallet knives, pastels, oil paints, and many more.
When I first met all of the volunteers who are so passionate about what they do at the Art Is...Creation camp, I was astonished. They have immensely impacted my time and art in encouraging ways. They have shared their affirmations, inspirations, and councils with such admiration to the people and the art surrounding them. I have also had the amazing occasion of meeting other kids who share the appetite for artwork.
I am more than excited to continue to be involved in all the opportunities provided at Art Is...Creation. Thankful is an understatement to how grateful I am to have been included here. Regina Wise of Art Is...Creation and part of the Artists’ Workshop stated that she "wanted to give us a place to be", in the New Smyrna Beach News Journal article. Yes, it has given me a powerful place
